Description

Join these twenty-six monsters in your silliest journey through the alphabet yet. Be sure to remind those wacky monsters at every chance you get that...."The ABCs do not scare me!" Creatively illustrated, cleverly rhymed, you'll walk away from The Monsterbet inspired, happy, and achy (from all that laughing). Warning: while children of all ages beg for more of The Monsterbet, moms tend to gag and run away. Dads, give the moms a break, and read this book to your kids.

Author Biography:

Sarah grew up as the oldest of ten children and has had children following her ever since. A Hoosier English-learner teacher, then coach for five years, her hundreds of students and fellow teachers were on the receiving end of her poetry--for fun and for learning. Sarah believes that poetry sticks to the brain and cuts to the heart. And while she loves to speak to hearts all over the world with her writing, her first two book, The Shoephabet and The Monsterbet, are aimed at children--delighting their minds and inspiring their creativity. In her second alphabet book, Sarah had to access the gross, slimy, snotty monster region of her brain-a region she hadn't previously known existed. With help from her husband (who was once a middle school boy), Sarah made these monsters come to life, making all kids giggle (and all moms gag). Sarah resides in Warsaw, Indiana, with her husband James-an artist and graphic designer-and three (soon-to-be four) of their own redheaded monsters. Having been one of those middle school boys, Daniel grew up with a love of drawing all things strange and unusual. As an Illustration and Graphic Design major at Grace College in Indiana, a typography class inspired Daniel's monster alphabet. He loved these monsters so much, he later revisited this project to apply a more polished technique. Daniel lives in Warsaw, Indiana, with his wife, Jessica-a photographer-and their first little boy monster.
