Janet Bingham writes fiction and nonfiction for children. Her science background includes a degree in Zoology and a long career as a technical editor specialising in chemical business information. Her nonfiction, and much of her fiction, reflects her interest in the natural world. She lives in Cambridgeshire, UK. Tom Jackson is a writer specialising in natural history, technology, and all things scientific. He studied zoology at Bristol University and has had spells working at the zoos in Jersey and Surrey. Tom has planted trees in Somerset, surveyed a Vietnamese jungle and rescued buffaloes from drought-ridden Zimbabwe. Writing jobs have taken him to the Gal�pagos Islands, the Amazon rainforest, the coral reefs of Indonesia, and the Sahara Desert. Nowadays, he can be found mainly in the attic.
