Author Biography:

Hazel Bennett has spent all her working life as a teacher in a primary, secondary and special schools schools, and has also taught abroad as a volunteer in a charitable school in Cambodia. She has been a class teacher in every year in the primary school and a support teacher in every year from Nursery to Year 8 as well as being a supply and peripatetic teacher. Hazel has combined her work with post-graduate study, childrearing and writing. She has appeared on the Teachers´ TV Channel in the series, ´They didn't teach me that´, and written features for a variety of educational publications. She has also had short stories and travel pieces published and won prizes in writing competitions.
