She lived 92 years, met a lot of people, traveled many places here and abroad, experienced many things both sad and happy, suffered when she was alone and happy when she was with friends and family. Her son, Larry, has also included some poems he wrote to Stella on birthdays and other occasions. Stella came from a large family, thirteen in all, her maiden name was Beasley. There were seven girls and six boys which she described. So many of the poems, both Stella's and Larry's, cover specific happenings in their lives with some details given.
