Author Biography

Heikelien Verrijn Stuart is a lawyer and a Dutch-British philosopher of law, who has specialized in international and humanitarian law, a regular contributor to law journals, lecturer and commentator on radio and television. She is among others member of the Advisory Council of Foreign Affairs and of the Restitution Commission Looted art and Second World War in The Netherlands. Marlise Simons is a correspondent for the New York Times, who has written on conflicts and human rights issues from Latin America and for the past decade has reported on international courts and tribunals in The Hague.
