Description

In writing this book, I owe debts of gratitude to a number of people and institutions. The person who must get the lion's share of the credit for this work is Professor M.W. de Witt. She is based at the University of South Africa. While writing this work she contributed with her scholarly experience and guidance. Special thanks also go to Professor A.C. Lesson, Professor Arve Gunnestad and Dr Famuyide for their words of encouragement. My thanks also go to the Principals, staff and children of the schools who participated in this work for their cooperation during my fieldwork. In a special category stands my husband Abahle who has been my source of inspiration throughout my academic career. Most of all; Glory be to God, for his guidance and mercy for sustaining me throughout the period of writing!
