Description

Is everyone in your boat rowing in the same direction? Don't expect to arrive at the school of your dreams if everyone is paddling whichever way they want. You need to give them a compelling vision for how to get there together. Unfortunately, if you're like most principals, your current vision won't help you scale the impact you want to have on your students. But it's not your fault! You've been shown the wrong way to craft a meaningful vision, and that's all you know. Until now. The Remarkable Vision Formula is the tool you need to turn your dream school into a reality. A Remarkable Vision is not: A catchy sentence or two that you can put on a wall, t-shirt, or coffee mug. Something to check off your to-do list and never refer to again. Generic. Another school would never have the same vision as yours. A Remarkable Vision is: A vivid picture of your ideal future that will motivate and align your staff's efforts. A multi-page artifact you are proud to share far and wide. A magnet that attracts top talent to your school and challenges your current staff to level up. This book is a retreat in your pocket. Bring it to the woods, the mountains, the ocean, or anywhere you can unplug from daily life and dream big about your future. You're just one weekend away from a Remarkable Vision for your life, family, and school.

Author Biography:

DANIEL BAUER is a Principal Development and Retention Expert, bestselling author, and host of two of the world's most downloaded podcasts. In 2015, he founded Better Leaders Better Schools-an organization transforming how school leaders experience professional learning by creating the ABCs of Powerful Professional Development(R). Daniel believes "When YOU get better, everyone wins," and his mission is to connect, grow, and mentor every school leader who wants to level up. Ariel Curry is a ghostwriter, bestselling editor, and book coach. She spent 10 years working in traditional publishing, most of that time as an acquisitions editor. Several of the books she edited and published have achieved Amazon bestseller status and have been bestsellers for the publisher. Some of her more notable clients include supermodel Genevieve Morton, winner of the TED $1 Million Prize for Research Sugata Mitra, education researcher John Hattie, Home Improvement writer and producer Matt Williams, and NYT bestselling author Warren Berger. Ariel specializes in a variety of nonfiction genres. As an editor and coach, she enjoys brainstorming and outlining new book ideas, bringing clarity and purpose to prose, and helping authors find resilience in their writing journey. Her favorite projects are those that tell a story of transformation-either the author's transformation through an event or situation in their life, or the reader's transformation in overcoming a problem. She loves working with authors who challenge the status quo and can shine light in the dark spaces of our world with powerful stories. When she's not working, you can find Ariel doing yoga, practicing Chopin on the piano, or reading with a cup of coffee. Originally from California, she now lives in Chattanooga, TN, with her husband and a growing menagerie of pets. Michael is a husband, father, and graphic designer. He has written and illustrated books predominately about eyes for the enjoyment of his own brown eyed girls.
