Description

This guided journal includes inspirational quotes and prompts for individuals in recovery from eating disorders. With soulful artwork by the late Mary Anne Ritter — “Ritteroo” — who suffered from anorexia nervosa while conceiving of this project, this four-color workbook combines textual and graphic inspiration with plenty of space for writing. Written by eating-disorders expert Lindsey Hall, the text is organized into six categories for self-exploration: relationships, thoughts, feelings, heart, body, and recovery.

Author Biography:

She has also coauthored Anorexia Nervosa: A Guide to Recovery, Self-Esteem Tools for Recovery, and other books. A graduate of Stanford University with a B.A. in Psychology, from 1990-1992, she served as Executive Director of Eating Disorders Awareness and Prevention, currently known as the National Eating Disorders Association, which awarded her the Lori Irving Award for Excellence in Eating Disorders Prevention and Awareness by the National Eating Disorders Association in 2008. She also received an Award for Service by the Eating Disorders Coalition in Washington, D.C. in 2005 and an honorary Certified Eating Disorders Specialist designation from the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
