Description

It is September 2009, and Adrian finds himself alone in Switzerland on a work assignment. He decides to use his time there to the fullest by embarking on a rigorous running regime; something he has not done for over a quarter of a century.Adrian's determination to get fitter, faster and stronger shows no sign of abating. On 22 May 2010, his run that day starts as uneventful as most of the others have done. But this particular day is different - this is no ordinary run. It will, without doubt, go down in Adrian's life as the Run to End All Runs.

Author Biography:

Adrian Smith was born in Ipswich, England in 1965. He is married to Sally and they have three grown up children: James, Ellen and Rebecca. As well as writing this book, over the last 23 years Adrian has built up the reputation as a leading authority on global Insurance Premium Taxes. He has extensive experience of all aspects of these taxes and regularly lectures on the subject at, as well as chairing, UK and international conferences. Previously, Adrian also spent 16 years in Her Majesty's Customs and Excise and the Metropolitan Police Cadets Corps. Adrian spends much of his spare time recuperating from his daily life, but enjoys being surrounded by his family as much as possible. He immerses himself in 'all things Beatles and Paul McCartney' and has an extensive collection of their records, CDs, books, videos, DVDs and general memorabilia. Adrian also has a passion for redwoods and Sally has planted a variety of these around their garden for him to "watch grow." He still hopes to one day play for Ipswich Town Football Club.
