Description

In 45 BC Julius Caesar had become an untouchable power in the Mediterranean world. He had subdued numerous kingdoms and sired a child with the Oriental Queen, Cleopatra. In an attempt to please his secret mistress, the newly coined Dictator for Life had exiled the Ptolemy Princess Arsinoë in an uncharacteristic act of last second mercy. Arsinoë though had no desire to die in obscurity. She was still as ambitious as her older sister Cleopatra, though working her strategy from afar in the Anatolian Temple of Artemis. In 44 BC when Caesar was unexpectedly assassinated, his heir and adopted son Octavian had differing opinions with Mark Antony on how to proceed with Rome's legacy. Caesar had to be avenged. While Mark Antony was having his head turned by a scorned Cleopatra, Octavian was equally persuaded by the pretty face of Arsinoë. As the quest for Caesar's assassins drew Mark Antony and Octavian into yet another civil war, the Ptolemy sisters were fighting one another in their support of the Roman leaders. Once Cleopatra realized Arsinoë wasn't going to give up without a fight, she set out an ultimatum. The world was only big enough for one Ptolemy sister, but who was it going to be?
