Description

Based on a parlor game where one person begins a story and each successive person must add to it, fourteen well-known authors were persuaded to each write a chapter of this novel. The novel is a story of American life in the early 1900's. The setting is upstate New York, where the suffrage movement is center stage. Idealism is pitted against the overbearing political machine. As the novel progresses the suffrage movement becomes less the idealistic and more the status quo.
