Susan Howard, author of "The Tale of the Tail" has written feature stories for a weekly newspaper and has published various of her poems. She plans to publish a collection of her poetry. She also plans sequels to this first of her children's books. As a student in Florence, Italy, she wrote a piece to be published at home in the United States, detailing the catastrophe of the flood in 1966, when the Arno River overflowed. The idea of writing "The Tale of the Tail" came to her while she was subsitute teaching in a school district in Florida. Howard has also written, produced and performed in her own one-woman tribute show, with song and comedy.
