Description

Coriolanus is first known as Caius Marius a Roman military leader. He sees the citizens of Rome as plebeians not worthy of the grain they desperately need. His beliefs lead him into trouble and he flees Rome. He leads an army to conquer a Volscias city. When he is successful he is given the name Coriolanus. Many plot twists pit Coriolanus against first one enemy and then another. The tragedy concludes with the death of Coriolanus.
