What results is a journey that winds through shifting lands and interiors, across theatrical stages and city streets, into voices and objects that emerge in sudden, vivid relief, and just as quickly disappear. By turns dreamlike and sternly rational, arcane and contemporary, intimate and dramatic, it is a book of blinding, austere, and beautiful awakenings.

Author Biography:

Born and raised in New York City, Jonathan Thirkield graduated from Wesleyan University and the University of Iowa's Writers Workshop, where he was a Truman Capote Fellow. His poems have appeared in Web Conjunctions, New American Writing, Colorado Review, 1913: a journal of forms, American Letters & Commentary, and other journals. He lives in New York.
