Author Biography:

Gal Weizman was born in Jerusalem, dreaming of flying above the white stone houses of her neighborhood like Peter Pan. As she grew older and became more acquainted with the laws of gravity, she had to abandon that plan. Instead, she devised a different way to never grow up. She attended Bezalel Academy of Arts and learned to draw. Gal loves to illustrate animals and creatures and to see her creations come to life. Her illustrations are bouncing through games and TV shows, sitting on packaging, and living in various children's books around the globe. Jody Jensen Shaffer is the award-winning author of more than eighty books of fiction and nonfiction for children (early readers, picture books, chapter books), including the forthcoming Creep, Leap, Crunch! A Food Chain Story; A Chip of the Old Block, a 2021-2022 Iowa Goldfinch Award nominee; Prudence the Part-Time Cow, a finalist for the 2019-2020 Missouri Show Me Award and a 2017 National Book Festival selection for Missouri; It's Your First Day of School, Busy Bus!, an Amazon bestseller and Amazon Prime Book Box pick; It's a Field Trip, Busy Bus!; Emergency Kittens!, Bear and Friends, a six-book early reader series, and more.
