Neither could share their secret with the other. The story becomes complicated when each falls in love with the other. His secret is the closest held since The Manhattan District Project of WWII (the atom bomb). Her secret places her in the category of the enemy. The story asks the question, how will this situation affect their relationship. His small, but affective organization's mission is officially described thusly: At the discretion and direction of the President of the United States, conduct covert anti-terrorist and anti-subversion operations in support of U.S. foreign policy worldwide. Such missions will be accomplished in a manner as to hold secret the existence of CSE from enemy and friendly governments alike.
