All New Activities with an SEL curriculum in mind! Meet Oliver. A young student who gives us insight about some common behavioral characteristics of ADHD in the classroom. Oliver wants his classmates to understand his challenges in hopes that they will gain knowledge of how to interact with him, and more importantly . . . how to be his friend so that he can be accepted in an inclusive classroom setting. After reading about Oliver, there are activities included to continue the conversation with students. These activities give students the skills to understand and talk about our differences. They will learn positive and proactive strategies that support inclusion through self-kindness, friendliness, and empathy.
