Jonah Ben Amittai is the only one of Jehovah's prophets to have the prophecy come true during his lifetime. He enjoys some fame but secretly would like to declare God's intentions again. When he receives the call he is on high alert, waiting to know his next assignment. When Jehovah tells him what his mission is, Jonah is indignant and refuses to do what he has been told. He runs away but God follows, relentlessly putting people in his path who are reminders that God is indeed in control. When his mission fails and Jonah returns home, he believes God is done with him. Instead, Jonah receives a second call and goes, facing the enemy he knew would be waiting for him. His obedience changes him more than he could have expected.
