Description

The winter moves are hard for all the animals in Palouse Washington. There's knee deep snow and winds that can carry off a buffalo. There's the rush to find shelter for those that hibernate as well as the need to stay safe. Our story begins with Jacqueline, Tigger's mom. She and Jonathan, Tigger's dad, have set out during the winter moves to find shelter. After doing so they are attacked by barn owls. Jonathan is lost and Jacqueline is left to find a safe place to stay during the worst time of the year. She meets Smidge the curly haired pig that has the answer to all her problems. Smidge tells her about a human with newair. New air lets humans hear animal's thoughts on the wind. This is Jacqueline's way out of the cold of winter. It's the beginning of a wonderful friendship. There's action and adventure on every turn.
