I will have many happy hours with this book. Can see many lovely quilts unfolding from the patterns included.

Good book – its got some information on basic quilting. Though I wouldn't recommend this book to some one who's new to both sewing and quilting as there are still plenty of terms that are not defined or expanded on.

The book provides measurements in both inches and cm which is nice.

Not all the quilts described have patterns printed in the book though so be prepared to make your own from a cereal box! Or pattern plastic if that's what you like. Also, the patterns that are supplied aren't always to scale – you usually have to enlarge them.

When buying fabric add about 5cm/1'' to the amount that the book says to buy. The measurements the book gives are exact so there's no room for error – for you or the fabric store and anyone who's purchased fabric before knows the store never gets it quite right (you end up with a bit more/less).
