Author Biography:

Jane Galer holds a BA in philosophy, an MA in material culture studies, and a certificate in museum curation for archaeologists. She trained as a shaman in the lineage of the Q'ero of Peru. Galer was born in Illinois but spent seven formative years as a teenager in Iran and Lebanon. She lives in northern California with her husband.
