Description

A standalone fantasy novel featuring the granddaughter of Lady Isabella Trent from Marie Brennan's award-winning and beloved Natural History of Dragons For fans of Marie Brennan's Lady Trent series comes a delightful fantasy standalone following the adventures of her brilliant granddaughter set in an alternative Victorian Age where dragons existed long ago. When Lord Gleinheigh recruits Audrey to decipher a series of ancient tablets holding the secrets of the ancient Draconean civilisation, she has no idea that her research will plunge her into an intricate conspiracy that will determine the fate of the modern Draconeans' homeland. Everything seems to be going wrong. Audrey and fellow archaeologist Kudshayn discover something terribly strange with the tables they are deciphering. Audrey's estranged lover wants to get his hands on the tablets. And Audrey must find proof of the conspiracy before it's too late.
