Description

It looked like an ordinary garden shed. He looked like everyone's friendly uncle. She was a little girl who loved adventure. At the flick of a switch and a 'whoosh', they were off looking for that adventure. Uncle Fred, Olivia and a gnome called Toby visit hungry camels to bring them a treat that neither they, nor Olivia, will ever forget.

Author Biography:

David Carter was born in 1955 in Liverpool. He attended Anfield Comprehensive School and first entered the world of work as a lab technician in several schools around Liverpool and then into various industrial laboratories from 1975 until 2020, when he retired as manager. David is married to Clare, with whom he went to school. They have three daughters: Clare, Rebecca and Katy. Since his retirement, David has spent some of his time working for the RAFT Charity in Rossendale, Lancashire, where he has lived for 36 years, and writing short stories. His main interests are listening to music (especially opera) and going to the theatre. Reading good books plays a big part in his life. David is a great believer that all children should read more books and use their imagination as much as possible. He has one granddaughter, Olivia, and this story was written for her. This is the first of the Uncle Fred and his Magic Shed adventure books for young children and he has series of them for future publication. So, enjoy this one and he hopes that you visit his shed again!
