Author Biography:

Bruce E. Blaine, PhD, is a professor of statistics and data science in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York, where he teaches courses in data science, nonparametric statistics, and meta-analysis. Although his teaching and research interests revolve around statistical methods and computing, Dr. Blaine’s has a background in social and health psychology and currently has research collaborations with faculty from education and pharmacy. He also is an accredited Professional Statistician® through the American Statistical Association and provides statistical consulting and research direction to a variety of clients.. Kimberly J. McClure Brenchley is an associate professor of psychology at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York, where she resides with her husband, James, and children, Jackson and Evie. She earned her PhD in social psychology from the University of Connecticut, where she also received graduate certificates in both quantitative research methods and college instruction. Dr. McClure Brenchley’s primary research focus is on the stigma of overweight, examining both the mechanisms behind weight stigma and the processes by which possessing this stigmatized identity can influence health and psychological well-being. She teaches courses related to social psychology, health psychology, and statistics.
