Author Biography:

I grew up in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada with two lovely parents, Scott and Velma, and a younger brother, Wayne. It was a happy life and I often sat writing stories of fantasy. My brother would enjoy reading them, and he would encourage me to write more. My Dad loved hearing what I wrote and told me one day, lots of people would enjoy what I wrote. My English teachers loved my stories, and told me they kept them for last to read because they knew they would be a good story. Some even kept my work to use as a teaching aid. My Mother has always been my biggest supporter, and always said I would be known as an Author, one day. My Dad and brother are both deceased now, but I know they are watching and smiling over me with every word I write. My mother remarried a wonderful man, Hugh, and he has been as much support as my Mother. They both encourage me every step of the way, and get very excited when a book is underway. I got married and had two sons, Scott and Marc. We lived in a small fishing village in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, called Cheticamp. I told them stories at bed time, or during big winter storms to keep them calm. They always wanted more stories as we coloured pictures of dragons and castles, hence Ashlyn - TheLand of the Dragon. Now they are all grown up, and I have moved on with my life to come and live in Seaford, East Sussex, England. My whole life changed, except the fact I still love writing stories. Now I have gone in a new direction, and hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
