In Village, each player assumes the role of a family, each with its own ambitions and aspirations. One family member might seek a religious life, while another aims for a career in public office. Yet another might venture to distant lands in search of fortune. Your goal is to guide your family towards success, but remember, time stops for no one, and eventually, people will pass away. Only those immortalized in the village chronicles will bring honor to their family and edge closer to victory.
During your turn, you'll select a cube from one of the areas on the game board, each representing a different action. The board is divided into zones with distinct attributes, including a market, travel zone, crafting zone, church, and council house. By taking cubes from these areas, you can perform various actions such as acquiring resources, converting goods, or scoring points. Be strategic in your choices, as different areas offer different scoring opportunities and benefits. The round ends when all the cubes are taken from the board, and the game concludes when either the village chronicle or the anonymous graveyard is filled.
Village: Big Box includes the base game, along with the Inn and Port expansions and all previously released promos. It also features a new expansion, seamlessly integrating all components into one comprehensive experience.
