Author Biography

Detmar Huchting was born in 1954 in Hamburg, Germany and grew up there and in Bremen. A music-loving family home laid the foundation; the boys' choir of the Church of Our Lady in Bremen strengthened it and built a love of early music with works from Schutz to Bach. A classical education led on to a broad-based study of the humanities, ranging from theology to Nordic languages, literature, and musicology. He has worked with and for record labels since 1978; today, the music critic, journalist, and author lives in Frankfurt am Main."
