GENESIS and the Walk Thru The Old Covenant series are a Sunday School curriculum designed for the young Bible Student to help them understand the Old Testament by teaching them book by book about the Old Testament. It was designed for the fifth to sixth grader in mind. It can be taught either in the Sunday school classroom or at home. In this series we do not try to teach any doctrine of any denomination or belief. It is simply a study of the Bible. We begin at the beginning in Genesis and take the student step by step thru the book from the creation of everything to Joseph bringing his family into Egypt. At the beginning of each lesson there is a narrative which is either read by the teacher or the teacher reads and tells the students the story. next there is the fill in the blank sheet for the student to fill out as the teacher is teaching. Next there is the "Go To The Word" sheet which the student looks up Bible verses and fills in the blanks. There is a lot the teacher can emphasize and teach in each section that is not in the study. The series was created to simply hit the highlights of each book. There is also other curriculum on the other books of the Old Testament which can be purchased at a very reasonable price. I separated each series so it would be easy for the teacher and the student to understand. It is separated as follows: Exodus thru Deuteronomy which finishes the Pentateuch; Joshua thru Esther which are the books of history; Job thru Song Of Solomon which are the books of poetry; Isaiah thru Daniel which are the major prophets; and Hosea thru Malachi which are the minor prophets.
