For a first time builder I found the instructions a bit vague. Have had to search a lot online to make sure I was doing the right thing. Looking forward to my next build.

Overlooked by many historians when talking about the Battle of Britain, the rugged hawker Hurricane shot down far more enemy aircraft than the Spitfire and therefore rightly deserves to be kitted in our Wingleader series.
Like the Spitfire, she’s a printed kit that builds up into an amazingly accurate representation of this classic aircraft. The stringered rear fuselage is actually very similar to the full size and therefore quite authentic. The supplied rubber motor is a good starting point for flying, but performance can be improved by the substitution of better rubber at a later date.
Hurricanes were famous for being tough and ours is no exception. The thick section wing is also great for high lift and the limited taper ensures good low-speed performance.
Hurricanes served in many campaigns in WWII so colour schemes are varied. From camouflage in the Battle of Britain to all black night fighters, the choice is yours.
At 508mm span, she’s a little bigger than the Spitfire but the scale is the same.

West Wings are probably the largest manufacturer of small model kits in the UK, manufacturing all of the West Wings kits in their factory in West Cornwall. Designs draw on the extensive experience staff have gained from ‘hands-on’ modelling over many years. Combine this with full CAD drawings and their CNC cutting machines and you can appreciate how accurate the kits are. The only items in the kits that are not made in the UK are propellers from Japan and flight quality rubber specially imported from the USA. Balsa wood, being a tropical tree, does not grow in Europe; therefore it is sourced from managed and sustained forests in Ecuador and Papua New Guinea.
