An autobiographical narrative that follows a young but seasoned veteran from his last mission in Iraq to his return and readjustment to life outside of combat. It explores the inner psyche of the modern veteran from the perspective of a jaded young man caught between his pride of service and the moral dilemma of fighting an unjust war. He battles PTSD and alcoholism until he finds peace in the company of a young progressive local poet.

Author Biography:

Joseph Andrew Holsworth is the author of the autobiographical war novel, The Devils of Eden. He was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. After serving four years and three tours as an infantryman with the 82nd Airborne Division, he graduated from the University of Nevada with a degree in literature before moving to Berkeley, California with his wife. He taught public school in Oakland before dedicating himself completely to writing.
