- Jack LONDON (John Griffith Chaney), born in 1876 and died in 1916 (at age 40), is an American writer. His biological father separated from his mother. She married John London after his birth. This stepfamily family lived in San Francisco. Jack grew up in a modest environment. He had a difficult childhood He has worked in a variety of trades, including moss, sailor-fisherman, and gold-mining adventurer in Alaska and Canada's North. He tried himself as a writer, using his pioneering life. At 27, he was successful with several works: "The Call of the Forest," "White Croc" and "Martin Eden." He has authored some fifty novels and novels, especially in the field of adventure and nature. He advocated early for nature by lecturing. He was also a political activist and a convinced socialist. He divorced his first wife and married the love of his life, Charmian Kittredge. During the last decade of his life, he experienced financial ease, with the purchase of a ranch and private boat, with which he was able to go around the world. Unfortunately, he was seized by an uremia crisis in 1916 and died of blood poisoning at age 40. - WHITE FANG - The novel White Fang was written by American Jack London. It was published in the United States in 1906. This author lived in the Canadian Far North during the Gold Rush. He met pioneers, mining engineers and Native Americans. The work addresses the animal issue in the wild and reflects the life and behavior of a wolf-dog. Also, in the wild and frozen Great North, a wolf-dog, at the head of a pack, fights for his life. In these places, there are only two choices of wildlife: eating or being eaten. This wolf-dog, White Fang, so called by his master Beaver-Gray, a Native American, lived next to this people. He knew the heat of the campfire, but also the taste of the blood. Unfortunately, it was bought by a greedy man. Also, he is trained for fighting and hating against other dogs. He became their enemy, especially against his rival, the dog Lip-lip. White Fang, proud and powerful, turns into a fierce fighter. He wins every duel. One day, following a fight against the Cherokee bulldog, he was seriously injured. Two men, Weedon Scott and Matt, intervene and save him from this hell. Following this, there will be a sweet relationship of friendship between White Fang and his new masters. He thus discovers the love and friendship of men.
