The book is composed of all new stories by new authors, but the purpose of this showcase is the same as its predecessor, Short Stories by Short People: The pieces in it exemplify how young authors can apply the writing process to create works suitable for a wide audience. In twelve weeks, the sixth-grade authors turned rough ideas into the finished stories collected here. The result is a compilation on all topics.
