Description

Have you ever wondered how the movement of people has shaped the world around you? People have always moved around the world, whether to build a new home or flee from a natural disaster. Without the movement of people, the world would be a very different place. World War One and Two shaped the world in many different ways. Millions of people were affected and many people moved around the world, for good and for bad. This book explores the movement of people during war and conflicts from today and looks at how this has shaped the world.

Author Biography:

Passionate about books from a very young age, Shalini Vallepur received the award of Norfolk County Scholar for her outstanding grades. Later on she read English at the University of Leicester, where she stayed to complete her Modern Literature MA. Whilst at University, Shalini volunteered as a Storyteller to help children learn to read, which gave her experience and expertise in the way children pick up and retain information. She used her knowledge and her background and implemented them in the 32 books that she has written for BookLife Publishing. Shalini’s writing easily takes us to different worlds, and the serenity and quality of her words are sure to captivate any child who picks up her book. Normally a designer and illustrator by trade, Norfolk-born Drue Rintoul has been a member of the BookLife Publishing team since its inception, where he has worked on hundreds of books. His passion for illustration began as a child, and he continues to pursue this love both inside and outside of work. Drue resides in King’s Lynn with his partner and cat.
