It aims to show the visitor how good management and an understanding of the importance of hospitality underpins the success of each destination. Tourists are now very interested in knowing more about how the places they visit are organized and how they get things right. AUTHOR: Professor Terry Stevens is an international tourism consultant who has now worked in 55 countries around the world on a wide range of tourism destination projects. He worked extensively in the tourism industry and led the early development of tourism as a research and academic study in the university sector before starting his consultancy business. He is a regular speaker at global summits and has written extensively in all aspects of tourism. In 2019 he was awarded the prestigious LUXLife title of the Best Destination Development Expert in the World. He is the author of Landscape Wales a pictorial celebration of the glorious natural treasures and landscapes of Wales published by Graffeg. He is originally from Somerset but has lived in Wales for over forty years.

Author Biography:

Terry Stevens is an international tourism consultant. Stevens studied Geography at Swansea University from 1970 and after gaining his MSc in Land Management at Reading University he returned to work at the Wales Tourist Board, where he learned to speak Welsh. After working as the Director of Tourism for West Glamorgan Council, Terry became Development Manager for Cadw: Welsh Historic Monuments and later Dean and Professor of Tourism Management at Swansea Metropolitan University before establishing his own consultancy business.
