Description

The aging orc shaman Ner'zhul has seized control of the Horde and reopened the Dark Portal. Even so, disturbing questions arise. Khadgar learns of orcish incursions farther abroad: small groups of orcs who seem to pursue a goal other than simple conquest. Worse yet, black dragons have been sighted as well, and they appear to be aiding the orcs. To counter Ner'zhul's dark schemes, the Alliance must now invade the orcs' ruined homeworld of Draenor. Can Khadgar and his companions stop the nefarious shaman in time to stave off the destruction of two worlds?

Author Biography:

Christie Golden joined Blizzard in 2017, where she writes cinematics, short stories, and even songs, but she has been writing official Blizzard fiction for two decades, including the StarCraft: The Dark Templar Saga trilogy and multiple World of Warcraft novels. Now with “Stone by Stone,” she adds the Overwatch feather to her cap. Over the course of her 30-year career, she has written nearly sixty novels, ten of which have appeared on the New York Times bestsellers list, including Arthas: Rise of the Lich King and Before the Storm. She has also penned novels set in other universes, such as Star Wars, Star Trek, and Assassin’s Creed, as well as original works of fantasy fiction. Golden is a two-time Scribe Award winner, and in 2017 was named a Grandmaster by the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers.
