Description

This title is suitable for children of ages 5 to 7 years. Children learn they can make a difference by making selfless decisions in this charmingly illustrated story. Bobby and Susi discover a magical yellow butterfly that can sing in their rose garden. Totally amazed by their special find, the children run off to tell their grandfather of this wonder of nature. Bobby and Susi listen spellbound as he tells them of an ancient legend in which butterflies were trained to go out into the world and spread hope and love through the granting of wishes. Enthralled with his story, and thinking more and more about what they'd like to have, the brother and sister decide to capture the magic butterfly and make their wish come true. Though once they have her in captivity, they realise that the butterfly's freedom is more important than their wish. In the unselfish act of releasing the butterfly, the two children come to understand that their true wish is one of love.
