Description

You Can Be A Writer takes early primary age children on a story writing adventure. Imagination is their passport and they can go anywhere, be anyone and do anything in their stories. Based around the multi published author's successful group presentations in schools and libraries over many yhears, it is presented in a reader friendly conversational style with accompanying cartoon-style illustrations. Starting with where ideas can come from, they are taken through a simple process of choosing characters, deciding where they can live, when their story might take place and what could happen to them. By following the simple instructions and completing the worksheets they soon have their own story to share.

Author Biography:

Teena Raffa-Mulligan writes quirky, whimsical books for children and her publications include picture books, junior fiction and MG novels. Her short stories and poetry for children and adults have appeared in magazines and anthologies and she has also worked as a journalist and editor on a diverse range of publications. Teena lives near the beach south of Perth in Western Australia with a sometime surfer and a golden Labrador with anxiety issues and a toast obsession. Her three children grew up long ago and left home and now have teenage and young adult children of their own. When Teena isn't writing stories she is reading them. She also enjoys family time, sunshine, birdsong and sea-gazing.
