The devices we use to browse the internet have changed a lot since we last
rebuilt our website. Screens have got both bigger and smaller – and we own
and use more of them. Our old website was becoming a little long in the
tooth – so we've evolved to keep up. More than just a lick of paint –
Mighty Ape has been extensively overhauled to provide a great
experience on a broad range of devices from widescreen PC
monitors, to tablets, right down to the
smartphone in your pocket (our dedicated mobile site is now
surplus to requirements and has been officially retired). We hope
you’ll find the new site faster, easier and more fun to browse!
In addition to these cool usability improvements we’ve also refreshed our
brand and company colours. You’ll notice an all-new logo plus
a more neutral colour palette in the header and page templates. These changes
make our products – which are becoming more diverse in nature – the
centrepiece of the shopping experience. You’ll notice product images are
bigger, and depending on the size of your screen, there will be more of them on
the page. Mighty Ape is now home to over 450,000 products
across 16 Departments – and our new site ensures all of
them feel equally at home.
Your existing Mighty Ape account and all your orders have
automatically moved across to the new site so there’s nothing for
you to do other than pick your favourite device and go check it out for
yourself. If you have questions or feedback about the site please get in touch!
As always we thank you for supporting us in our mission to
be Australia’s best online shopping site! You choosing to shop with us is
what allows us to do what we love and we really appreciate it.

Mighty Ape was recently selected to join the Google Trusted Stores program.
To help shoppers identify online merchants that offer a great shopping
experience, the Google Trusted Store badge is awarded to ecommerce sites that
demonstrate a track record of on-time shipping and excellent customer service.
When you browse our website, you will see a Google Trusted Store badge and can click on it for
more information.
Our Chief Marketing Gorilla Gracie MacKinlay is, “pleased that Mighty
Ape is now a Google Trusted Store.” She said, “becoming a Google
Trusted Store requires Google thoroughly reviewing and monitoring your site for
one to three months. So we're glad to get their tick of approval.”
As an added benefit, when a shopper makes a purchase at a Google Trusted
Store, they have the option to select free purchase protection from Google. Then
in the unlikely event of an issue with their purchase, they can request
Google’s help, and Google will work with Mighty Ape and the customer to
address the issue. As part of this, Google offers up to $1,000 lifetime
purchase protection for eligible purchases.
Google Trusted Stores is entirely free, both for shoppers and for online
stores. The program helps online stores like Mighty Ape attract new customers,
increase sales and differentiate themselves by showing off their excellent
service via the badge on their websites.

Mighty Ape's birthday is approaching. Mighty Ape celebrates it's seventh
year on September 26th.
We want to know when your birthday is. You might receive a little something
from us when your birthday comes around (hint, hint :P). Log into your
Mighty Ape account, and go to the Change
My Account Details page to input your birth date.
If you have already given us your birth date you are already in the draw. If
you need to change your birth date (and I have absolutely no idea why you
would need to) you can also do that by contacting our customer service
monkeys.

If you're reading this, you're probably a Leftbrain Group (iQ Toys, Baby
Universe, Gumboot, Petspot, I Want That and Beauty 360) customer wondering why
you've been redirected to Mighty Ape. Here's why…
The short story
- Leftbrain Group went into liquidation and was purchased by Mighty Ape
- We decided that we could deliver a better experience (faster delivery on a
wider range of toys) for customers by folding iQ Toys, Baby Universe, Gumboot
and the other Leftbrain sites into Mighty Ape vs. running the site
independently
The long story
Back in April this year, Leftbrain Group Ltd went into voluntary liquidation.
Customers were faced with the possibility of not receiving orders they had paid
for – and suppliers and other creditors were required to seek payment from a
liquidator.
