Description

The 60th edition of the "New Zealand Cricket Almanack" (and the 25th under the current editors) covers a major twelve months on the cricketing calendar. The men's season included the Champions Trophy in October, tests and one-day internationals at home against Sri Lanka, three memorable Chappell-Hadlee contests against Australia and the World Cup in West Indies. The women's team took part in a five-match Rose Bowl series early in the season and reached the final of the quadrangular tournament in India in March. The "Almanack" also has its usual detailed coverage of domestic cricket including State Championship, State Shield, State Twenty20, State League, Hawke Cup and age-group cricket. As ever, all the cricket is backed up by a detailed records section and a fascinating collection of the season's happenings.
