Description

The first Allison powered P-51's were good airplanes yet they lacked high altitude effectiveness against bomber escorts. That changed when the basic P-51 airframe was mated with a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine to create the P-51B. This engine change resulted in a superb aircraft which many argue helped to change the course of WWII.

Detailed 1/72 kit for static display only.
65 parts in green and clear with fine recessed panel lines.
Accurately captures features of P-51B: razorback fuselage wing and canopy.
Cockpit includes seat floor radio rack instrument panel with raised detail.
Separate exhaust stacks – 2 styles included.
