A good album (not the best of Ozzy… But it stands on its own) Reminds me a bit of Quiet Riot… What with Rudy Sarzo and Randy Rhoads in the band at the time) – you can really feel their influence! I thought the whole album came together nicely… But some of the songs on it could of been more polished Highlights of the album are defdinitly the 2 hit singles ( Over The Mountain and Flying High again… With a "honourable mention to the Title track – Diary of a Madman) Butr I can't help wonder if Twisted Sister got the name for their lp from Ozzy's ‘You can't Kill Rock 'n’ Roll' (Twisted Sister's album was ‘You can't STOP Rock 'n’ Roll… Note the similarity anyone???) Still it has to be said…Ozzy sounded more coherent in '81 than he does in 2022! Still a great album though!!!
