Description

Jason Foster III, basketball star in a wealthy seaside community, hangs himself I the high school gymnasium. For the sake of all others in his school, Dr. Harold Martin, the principal, feels compelled to find out why. This is a seaside town where yacht club members paint over rust before selling their boats, and where home builders swap techniques for concealing structural flaws. Because Hal thinks teen suicide may be avoided by facing the rust, wrinkles and flaws in everyone, he investigated Jason's Suicide and uncovers far too much at great personal risk. But he can't stop.

Author Biography:

Evelyn Cole's first stories never made it to paper. They filled her head before she learned how to spell, entertaining her like a built-in television studio. However, a no nonsense New England heritage prevailed and she became, in her words, "a successful cook, failed entrepreneur, successful professor, failed webmaster, successful ping-pong champion, failed golfer, successful traveler, lover, mother and occupant of this planet." Along the way she published poetry, articles, short stories and inter-curricular text book. For the sheer joy of it, she has written six novels, none of which fits into a category. She says, "The process of writing a novel forces the writer to examine all facets of what it means to be human. If the process is true, the product will be."
