Description

Felicia Wood is a lovely woman whose husbands leave her soon after marriage because she clutters their lives too much with purchases from catalogues. Although she's a licensed nurse, its too depressing a career for her. She prefers trying various sales organizations. She visits a drive-in church where the minister is projected onto a giant screen and Roy Rogers' museum containing stuff ed horses and dogs. She creates and sells eighty stuff ed statues of the despised aunt who raised her. Her niece enters her life after the last husband leaves, and inadvertently saves her. When the niece dies, Felicia says she feels deeply religious now, but no longer believes in God.

Author Biography:

Evelyn Cole, MA, MFA, writes novels because she finds them challenging and fun. She writes poetry because she must whenever life's needles poke her to wonder, shiver, laugh, love, scream or cry. Although she's too old to continue playing basketball, she still plays ping pong, attends critique groups and has published six novels, two books of poetry, a course called Brain sweep, and an Astrological cookbook with recipes suitable to the cook's birth sign. She taught English for 23 years in high school and college.
