Limbo
Omar is a promising young musician. Separated from his Syrian family, he is stuck on a remote Scottish island awaiting the fate of his asylum request. Ben Sharrocks second feature LIMBO is a funny and poignant cross-cultural satire, that subtly sews together the hardship and hope of the refugee experience.
Critic Reviews:
- " The feature is simultaneously a tremendously fun experience while also being harrowing and haunting in the best of ways. Relevant and important, Limbo demands to be seen and is absolutely worth seeking out! " – Carson Timar (ButteredPopcorn)
- " Elegant simplicity itself, where droll deadpan humour, terrific performances and a humanistic vision combine to deliver a powerful refugee drama that is one of the best. " – Jane Freebury (Jane Freebury)
- " Look beyond your limited worldview, Limbo says, and see the bigger, more beautiful, and more complicated picture. " – Rebecca Harrison (Sight & Sound)
