Didn’t know anything about this film (except the trailer of it), nor the series of books on which it’s based (-). Being a sci-fi/fantasy fan , The pure spectacle and originality of it’s premise is what attracted me to this. The story could have explained/explored the 'how/why -’ of it a little more in my opinion – things seemed a bit rushed in this area, especially regarding the 'permanent sanctuary city’ built behind the wall as opposed to the destructive roaming ones ! The extras on the DVD was worthwhile watching in getting a better understanding of this world. It would have benefited from being developed/made into a couple of films or even a trilogy.
