"Amazing production quality, let down by boring shallow gameplay."
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game imo is VERY over hyped. The production quality was AMAZING, but the game play is shallow, and has little going on.

Its very expensive game with the stripped down mechanics of a much more popular game, with a cute theme.

It did not overstay its welcome when it was being played, but left us with zero desire to play again, and reselling was a nightmare. i only got $18 back on this game as it seems on the 2nd hand market no one wants it.

Wanted to rate it 2* but game it 3 because it is a nice looking game with high quality components, but do lots or research to see if you will like it, and then check again as its a $20 kids game with very expensive bits.

"Scythe Jr."
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This is an excellent, junior version of Scythe (one of my favourite games). The core mechanics have been simplified a little, without being dumbed down, and obviously the redesign is thematically more appropriate for children. I gave this to my niece for her 8th birthday and she loved it. It has the perfect blend of competition and cooperation – each faction always uses two Seekers, so team play works really well. And, once again, Mighty Ape had the best price.

A competitive, family-friendly adventure Euro game.

My Little Scythe is a competitive, family-friendly game in which each player controls 2 animal miniatures embarking upon an adventure in the Kingdom of Pomme.

In an effort to be the first to earn 4 trophies from 8 possible categories, players take turns choosing to Move, Seek, or Make. These actions will allow players to increase their friendship and pies, power up their actions using upgrade tiles, complete quests, learn magic spells, discover precious resources through an innovative dice mechanism, deliver gems and apples to Castle Everfree, and perhaps even engage in a pie fight.

Some of My Little Scythe’s mechanisms are inspired by the bestselling game, Scythe.
