Zach Brinkleys secondary education is about to begin. He and Sophie Ferguson are enrolled at the prestigious Josiah Batty Grammar School. Unfortunately, Zach discovers that something at this new school isnt quite right. Whats worse, the spirit of the schools founder, the Honourable Josiah Batty, expects him to make it right. The founders ghost pursues Zach relentlessly, exhorting him to rid the school of the corruption that he perceives to be at its core. Will trying to generate justice for this vengeaful spirit lead to Zachs expulsion?

Wendy Milton is a retired teacher from Rozelle, NSW, who loves writing for children. Check out her five-book series about Zach Brinkley. Other books include The Doolally Kid (recently republished) and The Boy Who Disappeared. The latter, first published in 2006, will be re-released this year, together with a sequel. Wendy grew up in Newcastle and for several years taught HSC English at The Newcastle Grammar School. Shes a graduate of Newcastle University and has a first-class honours M.A. from the University of Sydney.
