Description

Step back into the annals of Rugby League history and experience some of the greatest ever games from the Canberra Raiders.

Sit back and enjoy five classic games from the Rugby League archives, each presented in their entire original broadcast format – a must-have for the true Raiders fan.

1987, PRELIMINARY FINAL | RAIDERS 32 – 24 ROOSTERS
Redemption was on the cards as a fired-up Raiders squad attempted to qualify for their first ever Grand Final. Standing in their way was a tough Roosters side that had defeated them in the Major Preliminary Semi Final only two weeks prior.

1989, PRELIMINARY FINAL | RAIDERS 32 – 16 RABBITOHS
Facing the Minor Premiers South Sydney, the Raiders went into the contest as underdogs. But it was the Raiders’ champions Laurie Daley, Glenn Lazarus, Brad Clyde, and Mal Meninga who took charge of the game and sent the Raiders into a Grand Final matchup against the Balmain Tigers.

1994, PRELIMINARY FINAL | RAIDERS 22 – 9 BEARS
The Raiders met the Bears for the second time in the Finals, with the winner going into the decider. Trailing at the break, the Raiders found another gear in the second half, and when a freakish Mal Meninga pass found Ken Nagas, the Raiders had all but booked their passage to the Grand Final.

1998, ROUND 5 | RAIDERS 26 – 20 SEA EAGLES
Without superstars Ricky Stuart, Laurie Daley and Brad Clyde for most of the game, the Sea Eagles jumped out to a 20–2 lead. In a scintillating second half, the Raiders racked up 24 unanswered points to win 26–20, securing the greatest comeback in the club’s history.

2005, ROUND 9 | RAIDERS 26 – 18 PANTHERS
Trailing 18–0 after only 20 minutes, the Raiders looked out for the count. Enter Jason Smith, who put on five tries and 26 unanswered points, marking a record equalling comeback victory with an incredible individual performance.
