The season to make you fall in love with the Rafters – it's so refreshing to watch a tv series that doesn't resort to ridiculous plot twists to keep viewers entertained. Highly recommended (but not if you are planning on actually getting anything done!)!

Love this series. Bought season 1 as we missed it when it was on TV. Enjoying watching it from the start and seeing how things link together. Might end up buying seasons 2 & 3 later as well to watch again.

Description

They return like a boomerang…

Julie and Dave Rafter (Rebecca Gibney and Erik Thomson) are over the moon when their last remaining child finally leaves home. But what happens when the rest of the family suddenly returns to the nest- Less than 48 hours after their middle son Ben (Hugh Sheridan) moves himself next door, all dreams of freedom are put on hold as one by one their youngest son Nathan (Angus McLaren) and his princess wife Sammy (Jessica McNamee), their troubled eldest daughter Rachel (Jessica Marais), and Julies emotionally vulnerable father Ted (Michael Caton) all return to the family home.

Plenty of drama, lots of laughs and a few tears ensue as the Rafters must learn to live under the same roof once again. Packed to the Rafters is one of the most enjoyable, finely honed locally produced TV dramas weve seen in ages. The dialogue crackles with wit and energy while the central performances boast a naturalistic breeziness, especially from the younger cast members. The Age
