Peaceful Ben (Johnson) and his closest friend Chon (Kitsch), a former Navy SEAL and ex-mercenary, run a lucrative, home-grown industry growing some of the best marijuana ever. They also share a unique passion for gorgeous beauty Ophelia (Lively). Life is bliss by the beach until the Mexican Baja drug cartel muscles in and demands the trio partners with them. When the merciless head of the cartel, Elena (Hayek), and her brutal enforcer, Lado (Del Toro), underestimate the unbreakable bond among these three friends, Ben and Chon-with the reluctant, slippery assistance of a dirty DEA agent (Travolta) – wage an escalating war against the cartel.
